We want to celebrate skating and scoot culture in Plymouth by working with the young people involved to create films and photography of their local scene!
We know that there are negative stereotypes surrounding skating and scooting and the people who enjoy them. We want to break down those myths and show everyone why the scene should be celebrated.
We’ll bring our cameras and gear for you to use to create films and your photos, with the support of our Fotonow creatives. We’re hoping to celebrate what you create with a film screening and photo show in the city later this year. This project has been made possible thanks to generous funding from The National Lottery Community Fund!
We’ll be working on the project from Central Skatepark and the Civic on Monday evenings 4.30pm-7.30pm (starting at Central, finishing at Civic). If you’re part of either scene and are interested in filmmaking and photography get involved!
