Bideford Photomonth

Cyanotype workshop at Bideford Photomonth

We were delighted to head up to Bideford for the first first ever ‘Photo Month’ and enjoy running a community drop-in cyanotype workshop in Victoria Park! This inspiring, hands-on drop in session saw participants join us in creating stunning blue and white prints using one of the oldest photographic processes.

Lizzy Orcutt and Emma Booth ran the session where many interesting objects, flowers, shapes and textures were used in creating some amazing cyanotype artworks. The afternoon saw people join to make one giant community cyanotype onto fabric which will be displayed at the Burton at Bideford in the future. See more photos here

Bideford Photomonth was a celebration of photography and rural life organised by The Burton Art Gallery in Bideford, North Devon. The gallery hosted a photography exhibition of two photographers who cross generations; internationally renowned photographer Martin Parr showing alongside Devon based photographer Robert Darch. We hope this is the first of many future Bideford Photomonths, thanks for inviting us along!
