Fotonow's project to create a community newsletter in Barne Barton continued over the weekend, the group photographing their recycled fashion designs using the local area as a backdrop to create images that will appeal to those interested in 'up-cycling' clothes and recycling! New project in Southway began last night working with local young people to learn about apples and begin to document the development of a community orchard at the local nature reserve. So we popped up to the youth centre and ran an apple crumble making workshop, with a little photography thrown into the recipe too...

The South West Graduate Photography Prize 2012 exhibition took place in Vyner Street this week offering a very busy opening, where the panel (Carolyn Hassan, Niall O'Leary, Celine Smith, Matthew Pontin and Jonathan Blyth) decided Mark Perham was this year's winner. Mark will undertake a residency with Fotonow and Knowle West Media Centre over coming months.
